At second glance - the delivery of the Datograph Perpetual Tourbillon has begun

In these days, the first of a total of 100 copies of the new Datograph Perpetual Tourbillon come into the market. The watch with the programmatic name uniquely combines a perpetual calendar with a flyback chronograph and a tourbillon.

Since 2006 the name Datograph Perpetual stands for the brilliant connection of Flyback chronograph and perpetual calendar. Ten years later, there is this fascinating timepiece with an additional tourbillon. However, this at first glance only reveals the name on the dial. The tourbillon is only visible through the sapphire glass floor.

The integration of this popular mechanism into the exclusive timepiece is more watchful than it might seem at first glance. The manufactory caliber L952.2 consisting of 729 parts was not simply modular. Instead, A. Lange & Söhne has opted for a more elegant but more elaborate solution: in the newly designed plant, the three naming complications are connected in an integrated arrangement.

The chronograph is equipped with a column gear, an exact jumping minute counter and a flyback function. The leaping perpetual calendar was coupled with lunar phase and long-duration. And when looking through the sapphire glass floor into the hand-crafted work of the highest standards, it is easy to see how the chronograph mechanism was arranged around the tourbillon. Thanks to the patented stop mechanism, the balance is momentarily stopped when the crown is pulled so that the watch can be adjusted in seconds.

The finesse of the design is also reflected in the design: the clearly designed black dial of the limited edition of 100 copies offers an optimal readability of the multitude of information.
